Health Workers per 1,000 People in Different Countries

Graph showing health care workers shortages

I found this graph very simple and very clear. To compensate for the fact that it attempts to analyze data for countries who differ in size and population, they keep the measure proportionate, by charting data for the number of physicians and nurses per 1,000 people. However, the fact that the data from country to country was taken at different times, distorts the accuracy of the representation as one is expected to compare data from 1997 to 2005. A lot can change in 8 years. The fact is that the UK's data is from 1997. Being that the UK is a highly developed nation, I don't see why it would have been so hard to get more recent data.
