This website sought to determine the accuracy of "The Colbert Bump," a phenomenon that occurs when politicians/authors/celebrities temporarily increase in popularity after an appearance on "The Colbert Report." This website tracks the average Amazon.com purchases of books 7 days prior and 7 days after an author's appearance on the Report. On average, a bump is sales is quite clear. The bottom of the website has individual graphs for each book.
These series of graphs are ultimately not very good because they are so faint. It is difficult to read them because the writing is so small so you can't see how the information is organized (just the general trend of the data). You also can't zoom in which makes this graph ultimately a poor visual representation.
