In U.S. Name Count, Garcias Are Catching Up With Joneses

Though not a graphic based on a model (sorry, they are very difficult to find!), I found this informational graphic about the 5,000 most common surnames according to the 2000 census interesting because it indicates recent population trends in an unusual and innovative yet inherently vague way (how much are last names indicators of race or place of origin?).
