The aim of this graph is to focus on the transportation expenditures incurred by the average American household. The transportation bar is the only one that is detailed, being divided in Vehicle Purchases, Gas & Oil and Other. The graph does a relatively good job at presenting the information and emphasizing the amount of money spent on transportation. The axes are clearly labeled and the graph is not cluttered.
